Abu Laila, member of the politburo of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine participated with the residents of Tulkarem the events of the Land Day through planting olive trees and setting marches towards the Apartheid Wall and Israeli Gachuri Chemicla Factories east of Tulkarem.
In his speech on behalf of the national factions, he confirmed that Tulkarem was the pioneer to revive the the events fo the Land Day. It embodied the meaning of the unity of our people on both sides of the Green Line, in spite of the the artificial borders and the walls of racism established by the Israeli occupation authorities.
Abu Laila stressed that the commemoration of the Land Day is an expression of determination of clinging to our land and our deep-rooted history. He called for escalating the popular resistance against the occupation forces and the herds of settlers and called on the international community to enable the Palestinian people to live like other peoples by the implementation of the resolutions of the international legitimacy.
On the other hand, Abu Liala stressed on the need to end the split for the success of our struggle against the occupation, pointing that the struggle requires ending the devastating split and giving priority to the national interest over the personal, partisan and factional considerations. He also called all the parties to sop betting on the regional and international changes.
