• February 22 is a new dawn in the history of the Palestine Revolution, the country and the people.
• Towards a new political strategy, not submitting to the dominant countries, opening the path to independence through national rebellion and all forms of struggle.
•To develop the struggles of the refugee movement in defense of the right to return to their homes and properties, as well as the human, social and security rights in the host countries.
• To continue the process of ending the division and restoring internal national unity and building institutions with elections, on a democratic basis, according to the system of proportional representation.
To the battle-hardened men and women
To our unyielding people
To our Arab nation and its combative peoples
The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP), in the 43rd anniversary of its glorious foundation, renews its commitment to continue the struggle within the Palestinian National Movement under the banner of the PLO, the only and legitimate representative of our people. The DFLP upholds the right to return, self-determination and the creation of an independent state with full sovereignty – with the June 4, 1967 borders and with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Over its 43 years of combative history, the DFLP has offered the sacrifice of many of its fighters, the pain of its injured and the suffering of prisoners and detainees, yet it has maintained its strong position in the heart of the Palestinian mass movement within the occupied territories and in the diaspora. At all times it has acted in accord with the supreme national interest and has taken bold positions, free of pressures, which respond above all to its duty and its commitment to the legitimate national rights of our strong people.
To our battle-hardened men and women
To our combative people
Bitter experience has demonstrated the sterility of the negotiations carried out to free us from Zionist occupation in the shadow of its refusal to stop colonialism and respect the authority of international legitimacy. It was also demonstrated that we cannot trust the Diplomatic Quartet and external pressures to change Israeli´s intransigent position. What is demanded is a new political strategy to pave the way for our people to declare national rebellion and turn the groups near the "Wall" into popular global resistance forces in Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza. This would allow us to reconsider the fight on the ground, with all forms and means, as the shortest and surest path for our people to achieve their legitimate national goals.
This strategy requires the political decision to end Palestinian submission to external pressures, including the pressures and blackmail of those who send donations and assistance to the Palestinian Authority. It is also important to advance towards a national economic policy that meets the needs of the confrontation with the enemy and its U.S. sponsor and to provide our people with support for the resistance to relieve the burdens suffered by the poor and middle strata, which carry most of the weight in the struggle for freedom and independence.
Moreover, it is necessary to speed the process of recovering our national unity and forming a government of national agreement to monitor legislative and presidential elections in the West Bank, Jerusalem and Gaza. This will serve as a system of total proportional representation that reunites the administrations and system on a professional basis, rebuilds Gaza and allows for national and social reconciliation, in addition to overcoming the traces of the division in which Palestinian society lives.
In areas of the diaspora and exile, the movement of Palestinian refugees continues to advance. It reaffirms its attachment to the people´s right to return to their homes and properties and it defends its social, civil and human rights in host countries. Therefore the reconstruction of institutions of the PLO, and the National Council in first place, on a democratic basis and elections in correspondence with the proportional representation system, will lead not only to the reactivation of the PLO as the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people, but also will provide additional protection to face all naturalization and immigration efforts and will guard against the loss of our people’s national identity.
To our battle-hardened men and women
Along with our people, the DFLP is celebrating the 43rd anniversary of his glorious creation. It is following with great interest the revolutions and all forms of movement of Arab peoples for their right to build democratic systems that guarantee freedom, national dignity, peaceful transfers of power, political pluralism, respect for human rights, women and youth´s interests and rights, the construction of national economies that guarantee social justice and the right to work, education, health, housing and a decent life for the poor and the middle classes.
The Democratic Front bids farewell to one year of struggle and welcomes a new one. It addresses its fighters, wherever they are, be they in the heart of the mass movement or in the heart of the National Resistance Brigades, with a salute and high consideration. This goes especially for the generation of the first founders, who carried on their shoulders the responsibility of building the Front and the training of successive generations of fighters. It also greets the young generation that demonstrated its ability to assume national responsibilities in all areas of combat. The Democratic Front addresses with great pride all of its female fighters, the vanguard of the Palestinian feminist movement, who have demonstrated their strength and ability to lead the Palestinian women's movement in different stages of struggle, along with the rest of sisters and brothers of the Palestinian National Movement.
The Front also addresses the prisoners and detainees in the occupier’s prisons. It values their legendary strength and considers them children of the Prisoners Movement, whose firm foundation was built by the “Palestinian Mandela,” Comrade Omar Al-Qasem, a martyr of the Prisoners Movement and of the Democratic Front and one of its most important historical leaders. The Front speaks to the memory of our martyrs, the martyrs of the Palestine Revolution and to their families with great respect, renewing the oath to protect the objectives of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives, while wishing the early recovery of the wounded and patience and firmness for the disabled.
Long live the 43rd anniversary of the glorious creation of the FDLP
Glory to the altruistic martyrs
Glory to the motherland, the people and the Palestine Revolution
